VAT registration and returns

Businesses with a taxable turnover exceeding the VAT threshold, currently £90, 000, in any consecutive 12-month period must register for VAT. Additionally, if you anticipate exceeding the threshold within the next 30 days, registration is required. Some businesses may also benefit from voluntary registration, even if they do not meet the threshold. VAT can be administratively complex, and late filings or late payments can result in penalties and interest charges.

We assist clients by:

  • Determining whether mandatory or voluntary VAT registration is appropriate

  • Advising on the most suitable VAT schemes, which can reduce tax liabilities and streamline bookkeeping

  • Preparing and submitting accurate VAT returns to meet statutory deadlines

  • Calculating VAT liabilities and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements

Our aim is to simplify VAT administration, reduce risk, and support your business in maintaining full compliance.
